December 7 I think people resort to violence because they fell that is the easiest way to get back or get even with someone. They would also maybe want to get revenge by doing something so terrible that it might hurt them not physically mentally. Like if they were to kill their whole family and leave them alone to suffer the pain of feeling alone.  December 9 If I could interview one person I would choose the Houston rapper Travis Scott. I would want to interview Travis Scott because he is one of my favorite rapper of this generation along with people like Kenrick Lamar, Denzel Curry, Kanye West, Playboi Carti, and many others. I also enjoy listening to his music while doing work or chores around the house. I would ask him about his journey from being another boy from Houston, Texas to becoming a superstar and working with big brand deals like McDonalds.   December 10 I think the phrase "The early bird gets the worm" means you have to be first to get the prize. FINAL REFLECTION FOR WORLD LITERATURE 2020-2021

 From the very start of the year this course was different because of the pandemic which lead to us being online instead of in person. The thing I found most meaningful from our experience was that the teachers tried to connect with us and help us through this tough period. I am most proud of being able to keep up with most of my work from all my classes. One thing I could have done better is turning in all my work on time or earlier and not procrastinate. One thing I learned in this course that I can use in the future is that I should take time out of my day and just meditate whether it be for 1 minute or more just to cooldown after a stressful day. Some texts I have read is parts of Les Mis, A Bad Beginning, and The Reptile Room. Three literary techniques that made these texts effective were characterization, mood and symbolism.

LES MIS BOOK 2 CHAPTER 7

Jean Valjean recognizes the fact that he is not an innocent man due to him trying to steal a piece of bread. He then realizes he should have been more patient. Jean Valjean believed his punishment was unfair although he knew he deserved a punishment which was more fair. It also shows how Jean Valjean could be a threat to the people in the town.

LES MIS BOOK 2 CHAPTER 6

 Jean Valjean had lost his parents at a very early age. His father died after falling from a tree and his mother had died of a milk fever. He also had a sister. They both worked hard but were miserable. Then came winter which left Jean Valjean without work which meant him and her sister along with her children would starve. Jean Valjean had then tried to steal a piece of bread for his family. Jean Valjean was then pronounced guilty. It is also showing how Jean Valjean was a good person who was forced to do bad things to survive. It also shows all the details of how Jean Valjean got to the point that he is there.

 The home of the bishop was very well arranged. Jean Valjean asks the bishop why he trust someone who could possible be a killer. The bishop then said that he feels faithful towards god.

    Jean Valjean was complaining about how the food was better where he got kicked out compared to the food in the bishops home. He then said that he had to leave the next day. Then after they said their prayers and retired to their own chambers.

November 30 One idea I can apply to my life from Les Mis is that people do sometimes form an opinion from a first expression. Another idea was that in Les Mis they are kind of similar to real life at the moment due to the pandemic. December 1 My relationship with others influence me but not as much as I influence myself. This is due to the fact that I am aware what I want to do for myself which helps me from time to time. December 4 I would try my best to not make eye contact or talk to the other person unless I am required to. For example if I am hungry or if I want to go out for a walk. Also, I would try to stay out of their way if they have the same enmity as me towards them.
