PAGES FROM MY JOURNAL 4

November 16: I am thankful for my parents because they have helped take care of me, help me grow as a person, cheer me on to become a successful person and they helped me have a place I can call home for all these years. November 17: I think one way I can prepare for a disaster is by being aware of my surroundings. This can help by helping me know which route can gat me to a curtain area if I would ever need to evacuate . I can also look at the news to see if their is any sudden weather change. We can also travel to other family members homes if we need to evacuate the state. November 18: First impressions are important because people could judge you only off of that. For example, if they enjoy your presence and attitude they might be comfortable being around you, but if your giving off negative energy through your actions or words they might just keep an eye on you.

LES MIS PART 1 SUMMARY

At the Moment Les miserables seems to be about the French revolution. It shows multiple sides of the story but mainly focuses on the bishops journey. It shows just how weird and interesting the bishop is seen as by many people. He also seems to be an amazing and trustworthy person which may have had to do with his past maturing him and making him into a man.     A connection I made about Les Miserables and the French Revolution is that they were around the same time just separated from 20 years. Les mis also shows just how much some people suffered whether it was by losing money, their homes, or there own lives.      One connection I have made about Les Mis and my own lived experiences is that people could judge you only from your first impression. Another thing I connected was that very few people are like the bishop who are nice, helpful, and feel no need to fear of anything. Lastily there are many poor areas like there are while the bishop travels.

LES MIS BOOK 2 CHAPTER 1

The antagonist seems to be a former prisoner that just got released from prison. After going towards a town he noticed that he was not welcomed. There were people looking at him to keep an eye on him thinking he was going to cause trouble. He tried to get supper and a bed. He was waiting for his meal until someone told him that they couldn't serve him even thought he had money to pay. Children started throwing rocks which lead to the former prisoner to threatened the children. He also asks someone if he can stay in their home for the night but he gets denied. It seems that people make their first impression from what they are told which could very be false but want to keep an eye on him. He also seems to be good at fencing.

LITERAL ANALYSIS

   1) The book I am currently reading is Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone. It is about this kid named Harry who discovers he was a wizard since birth. He then attends the wizarding school Hogwarts. He makes some friends along the way.     2) I believe the theme of the book is somewhat Identity and Growing Up since he realizes who he really is and is growing as in knowledge wise.     3) From the author's tone I would imagine that they sleep late since she puts in a lot of effort on her books which normally means they work on their book a lot, mostly in the night so that would lead to wake up late. I think this since the main character is sort of the same as what I portray her to be like. I would imagine she would drink coffee and meditate since it seems she doesn't write too much about hatred which could mean she meditates to release her stress. I would think she would get hungover from time to time due to her success. I would think she would eat breakfast which would probab

Pages From My Journal 3

November 2 I miss all of my close friends since we would go to the movie theatres to watch scary and comedy movies. I personally enjoyed going out to the movies with my friends since it felt nice to connect with each other outside of school. I also have some of my most favorite memories in the movie theatre.  November 3 Thee making of extraordinary thing while being stressed I think is possible because of your blood boiling and being a bit angry which can make some people feel more power and feeling the need to release it in some form. I can apply this idea over the next few weeks in order to achieve my goals. November 5 Uncertainty makes me feel sad and makes me go into a deep look at all my thoughts. I believe uncertainty can be both good and bad. One way uncertainty can be good is by waiting to see what you get for Christmas. While one way uncertainty can be bad is if you get told your parents were in the hospital after a car crash you would be worried.

LES MIS 12

In Chapter 12 of Miserables it seems that there are bigwigs and big mitres in the Church. Monseignur Bienvenu who was poor, humble, retiring wasn't accounted as one of the big mitres. It is also shown in this chapter that succes is a very hideous thing.

LES MIS CH 11

Chapter 11 of Les Miserables seems a bit interesting to me. It shows that at times the bishop feels less of a person than others. Monseigneur Bienvenu seems to be a intelligent, humble and dignified person. He also filled the town of D----- with a sort of tender and filial reverence.
